Catherine Reeve is Adjunct Professor in International Development Studies at Dalhousie University and Postdoctoral Fellow at Mount Saint Vincent University. She holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from Dalhousie University (2017), an MA in Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Science from York University (2012), and a BSc in Psychology from Saint Mary's University (2009).
Reeve's interdisciplinary research spans adult basic education quality improvement and human-animal interaction studies. Her educational research collaborates with teachers and students to redefine success metrics in Adult Basic Education (ABE), while her canine cognition work examines how dogs detect physiological changes in humans and the health impacts of pet ownership.
Her publications investigate canine judgment bias, pandemic-era pet adoption patterns, and owner-pet dynamics during pregnancy. Reeve supervises honors students using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and welcomes projects related to human-animal interactions.
