Catherine Montgomery

Catherine Montgomery is a Senior Lecturer and Chancellor's Fellow in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies at the University of Edinburgh, where she explores intersections between scientific knowledge, clinical care, and data practices. She serves as guest lecturer at the University of Oxford, chairs the editorial collective of the Journal of Critical Public Health, and participates in the Wellcome Trust’s Career Development Awards interview panel.

Her publications address topics like COVID-19’s impact on critical care, data practices in healthcare, and global health challenges such as HIV prevention and malaria control. She emphasizes the social and material dimensions of medical innovation.
