Catherine Ingrams is an Associate Lecturer specializing in modern and contemporary art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, focusing on European post-war avant-garde trajectories in transnational contexts. She holds a BA in English Literature and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, an MA from the Courtauld, and a PhD from UCL.
Her research examines performance, time-based art, socially engaged practices, and expanded archives. She has taught at Northeastern University and UCL, coordinated the Centre for Contemporary Art and Culture, and managed the Terra-funded project on American nativism and fascism.
Her recent publication explores artistic collectives in Albisola, analyzing intimacy and collaborative dynamics in Italian modernism.
She received the Hauser & Wirth Predoctoral Fellowship for research on Arshile Gorky's lost murals.
