Ana Gabriela Rodríguez

Ana Gabriela Rodríguez is an Associate Lecturer at The Courtauld Institute of Art, specialising in postwar and contemporary Latinx, American, Latin American, and Caribbean art. She holds a PhD (2023-2024) from The Courtauld, where her thesis, Puerto Rican Graphic Arts and the Cold War: Bridging Workshops and Crossing Borders, 1950-1970, examined transnational artistic responses to Cold War modernisation. Her research has been supported by the Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Courtauld, CAA, and the Terra Foundation.

Research Interests: Her work interrogates Cold War geopolitics through art, focusing on decolonial frameworks and transnational networks. She explores how visual media like print, film, and photography challenged Cold War narratives of modernisation and nationalism in Latin America and the Caribbean.
