Catherine M. Dunn serves as the Associate Dean of Law Library and Information Science and Professor of the Practice of Law at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law. She oversees the Westminster Law Library and has held prior leadership roles at Temple University Beasley School of Law, UConn School of Law, and Georgetown University Law Library. Her expertise spans legal information policy, library management, and innovative legal research pedagogy.
Professor Dunn holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a BA from the University of Michigan. She is licensed in Illinois and has practiced law at Schiff Hardin LLP and Berger Schatz in Chicago, as well as serving as a judicial clerk for Justice Ann Walsh Bradley of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Her career emphasizes bridging legal practice and librarianship through teaching, writing, and national leadership in law librarianship. She designs skills-based curricula and contributes to professional discourse on legal research methodologies.
