Caterina Tarlazzi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, where she has been since January 2020 through the 'Rita Levi Montalcini' Young Researchers Program. She serves as Director of the Sic et Non Study Center - Center for Studies on Medieval Thought and Principal Investigator of the five-year ERC Starting Grant project PolyphonicPhilosophy, focusing on 12th-century Latin logical commentaries.

Her scholarship includes critical editions of Isaac of Stella's works (2022), analyses of Peter Abelard's logic (2021), and contributions to the British Journal for the History of Philosophy (2021). She has reviewed major publications in medieval philosophy and co-edited the Medioevo: Rivista di Storia della Filosofia Medievale (2014). The 15 most recent publications (2024-2017) span monographs, critical editions, and journal articles addressing medieval logical traditions, soul theories, and manuscript studies.
Scientific Recognition: National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professor (2018), Leszek Kołakowski Honorary Fellowship (2018), and international awards for medieval studies. She is secretary of the Sic et Non Study Center and member of the Société Internationale pour l'Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale and Italian Society for the Study of Medieval Thought.
