Dr. Cassandra Gooptar is a Lecturer of Legacies of Slavery at the Wilberforce Institute, University of Hull. She is an interdisciplinary researcher specializing in slavery, colonialism, and reparative justice, conducting institutional investigations into Britain's historical ties to enslavement. Her work spans academic and heritage sectors, including roles as lead researcher on the UK Guardian Legacies of Enslavement Project and co-lead of the 'Bristol, Capital & Enslavement' project.
