Carsten H.G. Müller

PD Dr. habil. Carsten H.G. Müller is a Senior Lecturer at the Zoological Institute and Museum of the University of Greifswald, affiliated with the Department of General and Systematic Zoology. His research focuses on the comparative ultrastructure of sensory and glandular organs, as well as the central and peripheral nervous systems in various invertebrates, including annelids, chaetognaths, brachiopods, and arthropods.

He employs multimodal microscopy techniques, with specialized expertise in transmission electron microscopy (TEM). His current work investigates the evolutionary disparity of sensory and glandular systems related to reproduction and prey acquisition in centipedes (Chilopoda) and spiders (Araneae).
