Professor Carrie de Silva is a Visiting Academic Professor at the Harper Adams Business School, Harper Adams University. She holds qualifications including LL.B (Hons), MA, PGCE, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her teaching focuses on law-related courses for postgraduate land and property management, livestock auctioneers' programs, and short courses in property, estate management, and equestrian sectors. Research interests include equine law, occupier's liability in rural estates, teaching law to non-lawyers, work-based learning, health and safety/corporate manslaughter in rural contexts, and the history of agricultural education and women in professions.
