Carrie Rosenbaum is an Associate Professor of Legal Writing at the University of San Francisco School of Law, part of the Full-Time Faculty. Her research focuses on intersections of criminal and immigration law through critical legal and race studies frameworks. She teaches legal writing, immigration law, and anti-discrimination courses. Rosenbaum has held leadership roles including Co-Chair of the Law and Society Association Immigration Section (since 2024) and Director of UC Berkeley’s Immigrant Justice and Climate Refugees Working Group (2020–2023). She advises student groups like the National Lawyers Guild and chairs university assessment committees.
