Carraro Carlo

Carlo Carraro is a Professor of Environmental Economics and President Emeritus at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He held leadership roles including President of the University (2009–2014), Vice-Chair of the IPCC Working Group III (2009–present), and Chair of the Green Growth Knowledge Platform. He is a Research Fellow at CEPR, CESifo, and CEPS. His career includes over 20 years as Scientific Director at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM).

• PhD from Princeton University

Research focuses on international climate policy, environmental agreements, monetary policy coordination, and climate-economy modeling. His work spans 40 books and over 300 articles.

Awards include Italy's highest civil honor (Grande Ufficiale Ordine al Merito) and international fellowships. He advises EU institutions and chairs key environmental economics bodies.

Current roles include Strategic Board Member of CMCC and member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network.
