Carolyn Whitzman is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Arts. She holds an invited faculty role and co-supervises students while guest lecturing. Her career spans three phases: urban policy work in Toronto (1989–99), a 16-year tenure as Professor of Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne (2003–19), and her current academic focus on housing policy and the ‘right to the city.’
