Carolyn Webb serves as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Queens College, part of The City University of New York (CUNY). She also teaches at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education and The State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. She holds an MFA in Dance from the University of Michigan.

Her research focuses on Afro Caribbean Dance, African Dance, Jazz Dance, and Modern Dance. She directed and published the African Dance Interview Project at the Jerome Robbins Dance Division of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. This project documents legendary dancers from West Africa and the Diaspora, with interviews accessible via NYPL Digital Collections. The project was funded by the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.
Her performance and choreography career includes collaborations with internationally renowned companies like Papa Ladji Camara West African Dance and Drum Ensemble, Jean Leon Destine Afro-Haitian Dance Company, and Tito Puente. She also co-organized public programs with Dance/NYC.
