Caroline Walters is a Research Fellow in the Department of Social Work at Monash University. Her research focuses on mental health family caregivers, co-research methodologies, and pandemic impacts on family wellbeing. She has led/co-investigated projects such as 'The impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on mental health carer distress' (2021–2022) and 'Carer payments assessment process' (2024–2025). Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Walters has received awards including the 2022 Research Impact Award and the 2023 Achievement in Research award. Her recent publications (2022–2025) emphasize co-production approaches, family-carer advocacy, and pandemic response strategies.
