Caroline Ooley is an Associate Professor at the College of Optometry, Pacific University, where she teaches in the Doctor of Optometry (OD) and Bachelor of Visual Science (BSVS) programs.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of California San Diego (2008), with double minors in Health Care/Social Issues and Spanish Literature.
- Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University (2013).
- Residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Portland VA Medical Center (2013-2014).
Dr. Ooley's research focuses on glaucoma, neuro-optometry, and the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. Her clinical work advances evidence-based practices in eye care through innovative diagnostic approaches and therapeutic management strategies.
She has been recognized with the following honor:
- Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO)
Dr. Ooley actively mentors students across all levels of the optometry program, providing comprehensive guidance in classroom instruction, laboratory skill development, and direct patient care within the university clinic environment.
