Caroline Gelman is a Professor at the School of Social Work, Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY). Her work focuses on caregiving, social work practice with Latino communities, aging, child trauma, and the integration of technology in pedagogy.
- Education: Ph.D. from Smith College School for Social Work; M.S.W. from University of California, Berkeley.
Her research explores interventions for caregivers, children’s experiences in families affected by Young-onset Alzheimer’s disease, and culturally responsive social work practices. She teaches courses such as Clinical Practice with Individuals and Families I/II, Social Work Practice Lab, and Core Concepts in Child Trauma.
