Shannon L. Sennott is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Smith College School for Social Work. She is a sex educator, gender justice activist, and LGBTQAI+ family therapist with an M.S.W. from Smith College (2008). She co-founded Translate Gender, Inc. and the Center for Psychotherapy and Social Justice (CPSJ), where she maintains a private practice using a transfeminist and dialogic therapeutic approach. Her clinical work focuses on individuals, adolescents, families, couples, and non-monogamous relationships.

Research & Clinical Work: Sennott specializes in clinical supervision, therapeutic intensives, and training for social justice-oriented practitioners. Her expertise includes sex therapy for marginalized populations, as evidenced by her co-authored clinical guide Sex Therapy with Erotically Marginalized Clients: Nine Principles of Clinical Support (Routledge Press). She integrates trauma-informed and intersectional frameworks into her practice.
