Dr. Caroline Brunelle is a Professor of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick (Saint John campus) and serves as Honours Coordinator. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from McGill University (2006), following a BA from Laval University (1999). Her doctoral internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health focused on addiction treatment and forensic populations.
Her research explores the heterogeneity of addictive disorders, their comorbidity with criminality, and personalized treatment interventions. Teaching interests include clinical health psychology. She contributes actively through roles on the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies advisory board, research ethics board, and Canadian Mental Health Association committees.
Her publications (2009–2019) emphasize substance use patterns, healthcare access, and personality-based approaches in offender populations. Though no specific grants or awards are noted, her work bridges clinical practice and community engagement.
