Caroline Brophy is a Professor in Statistics at the School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. She lectures undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervises student projects, and leads interdisciplinary research initiatives. As Head of Statistics and Information Systems, she oversees academic and administrative operations within her domain.
Her research focuses on developing non-standard statistical models for ecological, agricultural, and environmental applications, particularly in modeling biodiversity-ecosystem function relationships and enhancing agricultural sustainability through species diversity. She is the lead Coordinator of the Marie-Curie Doctoral Network LegumeLegacy and Principal Investigator for the Research Ireland Frontiers for the Future project STRIVE.
