Caroline Barakat is an Associate Professor at Ontario Tech University's Faculty of Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Medical Geography from McMaster University (2008), MES from York University (2003), and BSc from the University of Toronto (1993). Her research focuses on environmental and occupational health, particularly air pollution's long-term health impacts and health inequities. She has conducted large-scale studies such as the Hamilton Children Cohort and UAE environmental exposure databases.
