Carolina Sandler

Dr. Carolina Sandler serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sport & Exercise Science within Western Sydney University's School of Health Sciences. An accredited exercise physiologist (ESSA) and clinical researcher with a PhD from UNSW, she maintains active roles in both academic instruction and translational research.

Her research program spans three synergistic domains:

• Epidemiology and management of post-infective fatigue states, leveraging the International Collaborative on Fatigue Following Infection (COFFI) network with 24,405 participants across 15 global cohorts
• Development of evidence-based eLearning resources for healthcare professionals and patients targeting post-cancer and post-infective fatigue
• Pragmatic exercise interventions for understudied cancer populations including ovarian, brain, and metastatic breast cancer patients

Dr. Sandler holds a competitive NSW Cancer Institute fellowship driving her eLearning initiative, which incorporates stakeholder feedback from GPs and consumers throughout development. Her work bridges clinical research with practical implementation through partnerships with healthcare providers and patient advocacy groups.
