Carolina Maciel is an Adjunct Professor at Vermont Law School where she teaches International Environmental Law (INT 7421). She holds a Ph.D. from Wageningen University, an MSc from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, and an LL.B from Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina. As Senior Advisor in International Trade Law and Policy for the World Federation for Animals and Chair of ICFAW's America regional working group, her expertise spans WOAH mandates, WTO agreements, and EU/Brazilian regulatory frameworks.
Her research focuses on animal law advocacy with specialties in international regulatory structures and trade policy implications. She maintains professional memberships with the Brazilian Bar Association, Women Inside Trade, and Society International Economic Law.
