Dr. Carolin Dempki is a Science Manager at the Bielefeld School of Education (BiSEd) at Bielefeld University, focusing on supporting doctoral candidates and postdocs with teaching backgrounds. She leads the BiSEd Graduate Network and manages diversity-sensitive programs, such as the biprofessional graduate program iRd and the Quality Offensive Teacher Training. Her work emphasizes promoting young talent through inclusive strategies and advancing teacher training in democratic-political education. Previously, she held research roles at the University of Cologne and Bielefeld University, specializing in economic education and social science didactics. She earned her Dr. phil. in History and Sociology from Bielefeld University and completed teacher training at the University of Siegen. Her research interests include photography as a research method, emotionally sensitive education, and language-sensitive social science education.
