Carolien Stolte is an Associate Professor of History at the Institute for History (Leiden University). Her research focuses on modern global history with regional expertise in South Asia, intersecting themes of Cold War colonialism, decolonization, slavery, intellectual history, pacifism, and Afro-Asian movements.
