Carole ANGLADE is an Associate Professor at the School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology within the Faculty of Medicine at Université de Montréal. Her research focuses on aphasia rehabilitation, community participation challenges for individuals with communication disorders, and innovative interventions such as group singing and telehealth. She has been involved in funded projects including a 2025-2026 study on singing for social wellbeing in aphasia (funded by SSHRC), and a 2024 project on shared decision-making in interdisciplinary rehabilitation (funded by FRQS).
Her teaching includes courses like ORT-6532 (Adult & Senior Speech Therapy) and contributes to the Master of Speech-Language Pathology program. Key research themes include aphasia communication barriers, telerehabilitation protocols, and knowledge mobilization strategies. Over 15 years, her work spans clinical trials (e.g., rTMS efficacy), qualitative studies on community interactions, and interdisciplinary platform development for therapeutic adherence.
Recent projects emphasize partnership-based research with community stakeholders, aiming to improve real-world accessibility for aphasia patients.
