Institutional leadership includes chairing ethics committees and research groups at Brighton, initiating peer mentoring at Edge Hill, and establishing the Children's Rights and Well-being network. She currently advises the Scottish Cross Party Group on Children and Young People and contributes to UK policy development, including Youth Justice Service guidelines.
She mentors postgraduate researchers on projects examining UNICEF's Rights Respecting Schools Award impact and leads knowledge exchange initiatives promoting child voice documentation techniques like learning walls and narrative profiles.
