Carol Redwing is a Lecturer in the Department of Emergency Management and Disaster Science at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), affiliated with the College of Public Affairs and Community Service. She is a doctoral candidate in the School of Public Administration and an enrolled member of the Yankton Dakota Tribe with Santee Dakota descendancy. Her work bridges Indigenous sovereignty, social equity, and disaster management through academic and community engagement.
