Carol R Horowitz

Carol R. Horowitz, MD, MPH, is a Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with appointments in both Population Health Science and Policy and Medicine. She is a practicing general internist and founding Director of Mount Sinai’s Institute for Health Equity Research, as well as the founding Dean for Career Advancement and Support. Her work focuses on stakeholder-engaged, community-based participatory research to address health disparities in chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular conditions.
