Carol Mitchell is a Term Assistant Professor in the Department of English at George Mason University. She holds an MFA in Fiction from George Mason University, a Certificate in Professional Editing from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from Wharton School. Her expertise spans composition, Caribbean literature, and creative writing.
Research explores cultural identity in postcolonial contexts through fiction and podcast production. Authored novel 'What Start Bad a Mornin'' addressing Caribbean diaspora experiences. Leads the 'Moonshine Murmurs' podcast for Watershed Lit.
Teaching includes advanced composition, creative writing, and literary analysis courses. Office hours regularly held in Horizon Hall.
