Carol Langley is an Adjunct Professor in the MEd in School Counselling program at City University of Seattle, serving as Associate Faculty since 2015 while concurrently working as a School Psychologist for West Vancouver School District #45 since 1995.
Her educational background includes:
- Doctorate of Education (Teaching & Learning; Psychology) from the University of Leicester (2006)
- Master of Education (Counselling Psychology; Psycho-educational Assessment) from the University of Regina (1990)
- Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan (1984)
Dr. Langley specializes in culturally responsive strategies for diverse learners, with extensive work supporting Indigenous students through innovation grants and as an Indigenous Success Counsellor. Her research integrates Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) interventions via Provincial Outreach Program grants and mental health initiatives like the Canadian Mental Health Association's BounceBack program. She champions neurodiversity and strength-based frameworks, implementing PATH (Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope) and safeTALK suicide prevention training to foster student resilience and personalized learning pathways.
Her grant portfolio includes leadership on Indigenous student innovation projects, a collaborative FASD action research grant, and the BounceBack pilot program enabling school counsellors to access mental health resources.
