Carol Hodgson is a Professor (Research) at Monash University, serving as Executive Director of Monash Partners Academic Health Science Centre, Head of the Division of Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Deputy Director of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre. She is an honorary Specialist Physiotherapist at The Alfred Hospital and holds NHMRC funding, including an L2 Investigator Grant (2025-2029). Her research focuses on rehabilitation, oxygen therapy, ECMO, and long-term outcomes of critically ill patients.
Key collaborations include leadership in projects like the Australian and New Zealand ICU Workforce Survey and the RECOMMEND Platform Trial for ECMO efficacy.
