Carol Gossett serves as Associate Professor of Education and Program Director for Early Childhood Development at Fresno Pacific University's School of Graduate and Professional Studies. She holds a Master of Science from Fresno Pacific College and Bachelor of Science from California State University, Fresno.
Her research focuses on:
- Early childhood curriculum development
- Teacher credentialing systems
- Child development permit pathways
- Program quality evaluation frameworks
In February 2021, Dr. Gossett was appointed to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing's Early Childhood Education Program Quality Peer Review Design Team after being selected from over 80 applicants. She contributed to drafting the review process for early childhood education programs preparing students for child development permits, with recommendations presented to CCTC in summer 2021 and piloted during 2021-22.
As Program Director, she oversees curriculum development and student mentoring in early childhood education pathways, with particular expertise in policy implementation and program accreditation standards.
