Carlus Gupton JR is a Professor and Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at the Hazelip School of Theology, Lipscomb University. With over 45 years of ministry experience, he has served as an interim minister, consultant, and coach for hundreds of churches. He holds a B.A. in Religious Education and Communication from Lipscomb University (1982), an M.Div from Harding School of Theology (1988), and a D.Min in Church Leadership from Abilene Christian University, alongside additional graduate studies at Murray State University, University of Memphis, and University of Tennessee.
His teaching specialties include church leadership, spiritual formation, change, conflict resolution, biblical studies, and theological studies. He previously taught at Harding School of Theology (2014–2021), Johnson University (2001–2013), and the University of Tennessee (2001–2011). He is also the founder and publisher of LifeandLeadership.com and DISCPersonality.com.
