Carlota Quiban is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Samuel Merritt University, teaching in Master's and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. She holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Phoenix (2016) and has over a decade of experience in nursing education across online, hybrid, and in-person formats. Her clinical expertise spans nearly two decades in acute care settings, including roles in surgical, orthopedic, ICU, oncology, and medical telemetry units.

Quiban has served as a committee member at Point Loma Nazarene University and peer-reviewed manuscripts for nursing journals including Christian Journal of Nursing and Nursing Open Journal. She has volunteered in community outreach initiatives such as Black Nurses Association's vaccination efforts and homeless support through Father Joe Village.
