Carlos Perna is a Lecturer at the Romance Languages Seminar of the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg, with a focus on Spanish language practice and linguistics. He earned a Master of Arts in Romance Philology and German as a Foreign Language (2003–2010) and completed his dissertation (2011–2014) at the same university under the supervision of Prof. Dr. emeritus Jens Lüdtke.
