Carlos Carrillo is an Associate Professor of Composition-Theory at the School of Music, University of Illinois. He holds a BM from the Eastman School of Music, MM from Yale University, and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. His work focuses on contemporary classical music composition and theory, with commissions from institutions like the American Composers Orchestra and BMI Foundation. His music has been performed by orchestras including the Puerto Rico Symphony and the New York Youth Symphony.
