Carlo Edoardo Altamura is a Lecturer in 20th Century Latin American History at the University of Manchester's Department of History. Previously, he held a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Ambizione Research Fellowship at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (2019–2023). His research focuses on post-war international financial history, financial globalization, and the political uses of debt. He is the author of European Banks and the Rise of International Finance: The Post-Bretton Woods Era (2016) and has published in journals like Business History Review and International History Review.
