Carla Filipa Gomes da Costa

Carla Filipa Gomes da Costa is the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology (FCST) at the European University (EU) since September 2022. With over 25 years of academic experience, she holds a PhD in Human Resources Management and Development, a Master's in Social and Organisational Psychology, and degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Her research focuses on leadership, sustainability, coaching, corporate health, and well-being promotion. She has authored/co-authored multiple publications, including books and peer-reviewed articles on organizational behavior and human resources. Current projects include 'Mind Body Boost' (a mental health intervention program across 6 European countries) and studies on purpose-driven leadership and abusive leadership impacts. She actively supervises PhD and master's students in leadership research and co-leads the Innovation & Market Ecosystems (IMEKO) research group. Future goals include advancing ongoing research projects into scholarly outputs.
