Carla Enriquez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Kean University's College of Health Professions and Human Services. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she contributes to the Learning Health System Scholar Program.

Her research focuses on pain neuroscience, musculoskeletal/orthopedic physical therapy, and chronic pain, particularly exploring quantitative sensory testing, psychosocial predictors of pain outcomes, and pain modulation mechanisms. Recent studies analyze chronic neck pain management, predictors of pain outcomes using QST, and interrater reliability of strength testing methods.
She has received notable awards including the Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Award from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and recognition as a Learning Health System Scholar at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Carla has presented nationally and internationally on topics such as pain neuroscience, musculoskeletal physical therapy, and chronic pain. Her clinical work integrates psychosocial assessments with physiological testing to improve rehabilitation outcomes.
