Carl Larsson, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Finance and Blue Ridge Bank Faculty Fellow at the James Madison University (JMU) College of Business. He advises the JMU Banking Team, which achieved National Champions in the 2022 CSBS Community Bank Case Study Competition and FDIC Academic Challenge Finalists in 2023. His research focuses on banking, real estate finance, investments, corporate finance, and financial regulation.
Education: Ph.D. from the University of Texas at San Antonio and B.S. from Boston College. Awards include the 2024 JMU Dr. Otto C. Brenner Memorial Award for Teaching and 2020 Provost's Distinguished Teacher Award.
