Ali Nejadmalayeri is a Full Professor of Finance at the University of Wyoming's College of Business, holding the John A. Guthrie Endowed Chair in Banking and Financial Services (2018–2024) and the John and Esther Clay Honors College Faculty Fellow (2022–2023). He previously held the ONEOK Chair in Finance at Oklahoma State University's Spears School of Business (2015–2018) and the Jay and Fayenelle Helm Professorship (2012–2015). His academic journey includes roles at the University of Nevada-Reno (2001–2006) and a unique course on Blockchains, FinTech, and Digital Financial Services.

His research explores the intersection of corporate decisions and capital markets, focusing on corporate/municipal bonds, taxation, real estate, and demography's role in finance. He has published in top journals like Review of Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Global Finance Journal, with articles on topics such as financial distress, asset liquidity, and macroeconomic impacts on credit spreads.

He co-chairs the Decentralized Treasury Working Group at the Blockchain Governance Initiative Network (BGIN) and has secured grants from CBOE/MSCI and CBOE/S&P Global to study inflation, volatility, and fixed-income ecosystems.
