Carissa Reddick is an Associate Professor of Music Theory at the University of Northern Colorado, affiliated with the School of Music within the College of Performing and Visual Arts. Her academic roles include serving as Director of the School of Music and Graduate Coordinator for the School of Music (2015–2022).

Her research focuses on Sonata form in the late nineteenth century, Linear analysis, and Music theory pedagogy. Recent publications explore sonata form variations, Beethoven's influence, and Liszt's synthesis of historical and modern styles. Her work bridges classical structural analysis with pedagogical approaches in popular music.
Scientific awards include being nominated as an Inspiring Faculty member by UNC’s Center for Women’s and Gender Equity (2019). She has presented at conferences such as the Ninth European Music Analysis Conference and Rocky Mountain Music Scholars Conference.
