Carina Frondén

Carina Frondén is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Doctoral Programme in Linguistics. Her research focuses on Linguistics, particularly the study of Swedish Language as a pluricentric language and the development of Plain Language standards.

Her work includes empirical studies on text readability using eye tracking methodologies, as evidenced by publications such as Reading Easy Language texts written by public authorities: Evidence from eye tracking (2023) and Bringing order to chaos: Research on Easy Swedish (2022). She is actively involved in the research project Lättläst litteratur, svenska och integration (2025–2027) as a participant.
