Carie Forden

Carie Forden is a Professor of Psychology at The American University in Cairo (AUC), specializing in community psychology and the psychology of gender. With over 30 years of academic experience, she has pioneered teaching innovations and conducted impactful community-focused research in Egypt and internationally.

• PhD in Social Psychology from State University of New York at Stony Brook (1990)
• Current work: Multi-year collaboration with UNICEF, Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood to enhance child protection social workers' capacity
• Expertise in organizational capacity-building and smoking prevention programs
