Cara Katz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Manitoba's Max Rady College of Medicine. She practices as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre, with clinical expertise in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Dr. Katz holds dual certifications from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Psychiatry (2021) and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2022).

Her research focuses on suicide risk epidemiology and long-term outcomes for neurodevelopmental populations, particularly siblings of individuals with autism. She actively collaborates with urban-Indigenous youth organizations to advance health equity. Dr. Katz serves on multiple committees including the Competence Committee at UM's Department of Psychiatry and the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance.
