Dr. Candies Winfun-Cook is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at the University of Mississippi (UM), affiliated with the School of Education's Department of Teacher Education. Her research focuses on elementary mathematics and addressing educational opportunity gaps in elementary settings.

Awards:Recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Student in Elementary Education (2021).
Teaching & Experience:15 years in the Oxford School District, including roles as an elementary math coach, 5th/6th grade math teacher, and previously a 3rd grade math teacher in Quitman County. Teaches courses such as EDCI 608 (Curricular Issues in Elementary Mathematics Education) and EDCI 353 (Planning and Teaching Strategies).
Community Involvement:Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and active in local/national math organizations.
