Candice Thomas-Maddox, Ed.D., is a Professor of Communication Studies at Ohio University Lancaster and Associate Director for Online Graduate Programs within the Scripps College of Communication’s School of Communication Studies. She holds leadership roles in national communication associations, including chairing the National Communication Association’s Finance Committee. Her research focuses on interpersonal, family, and organizational communication, complemented by expertise in quantitative research methods.
Education: Ed.D. in Communication from West Virginia University.
Research & Publications: Co-author of four textbooks including Interpersonal Communication: Building Rewarding Relationships and Quantitative Research Methods for Communication. Her work emphasizes practical applications of communication theories through community-based projects and Team-Based Learning pedagogy.
