Camille Shira Angel is an Adjunct Professor in the Swig Program in Jewish Studies and Social Justice at the University of San Francisco, serving part-time alongside her role as Rabbi-in-Residence. Ordained by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, she previously served as spiritual leader of Congregation Sha'ar Zahav (2000–2015), a queer-focused congregation, where she co-edited its inclusive prayer book Siddur Sha'ar Zahav.
