Camilla Nilvius is a Lecturer in Education at Linnaeus University's Department of Education, within the Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds a doctoral degree (2022) and master's degree in Special and Treatment Pedagogy. Her work bridges theory and practice, focusing on early literacy development, Response to Intervention (RtI) models, and inclusive education strategies. She is the program manager for three special education teacher programs and teaches in special education, pedagogy, and psychology courses.
Her research emphasizes RtI implementation in Swedish schools, particularly in identifying and supporting students with reading difficulties. Key contributions include meta-analyses of intervention efficacy, longitudinal studies on reading development, and publications on integrating Lesson Study with RtI frameworks. She has authored books and book chapters translating research into practical educational strategies, such as RTI-modellen i praktiken (2024).
Nilvius' work highlights the importance of structured yet meaningful literacy instruction, collaboration among educators, and early intervention for multilingual learners. Her doctoral thesis (2022) evaluates RtI's role in preventing reading difficulties, recommending enhanced collaboration and assistive technology for persistent cases.
