Camila Picchio

Camila Picchio (PhD, MPH) is a multidisciplinary Post-Doctoral Researcher at ISGlobal, focusing on public health, implementation science, migrant health, and health systems. She coordinates the EU-funded VH-COMSAVAC project in Spain, Italy, and Greece, building on her HBV-COMSAVA pilot project among West African migrants in Catalonia.

Her research emphasizes simplified diagnostic tools for HBV/HCV, multisectoral interventions, and vaccine hesitancy. She has worked in Kampala (Makerere University), Buenos Aires (Fundación Huésped), New York (CUNY SPH), and Catalonia's public health agencies.

Key publication trends include migrant health equity, viral hepatitis elimination, community-based interventions, and pandemic response frameworks.

Currently Vice President of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) section on Health Promotion, she bridges policy and practice across Europe and low- and middle-income countries.
